• DESIGN MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

How to be seen, recognised, remembered, appreciated and most of all, re-purchased by consumers? The power of a brand lies in the customer mind set - strong brands have a clear and unique position in the consumers minds and but the worlds best brands, (defined in marketing jargon as ‘love marks’) capture not only minds, but hearts too.

Dispensing systems have a strategic role in determining the consumer’s perception of a product, brand and price positioning. Capture consumers minds and hearts with TAPLAST’S uniquely designed dispensers with the compelling appeal of making a difference to reducing environmental impact too.

Here at TAPLAST we apply our exceptional know-how in the design and the reduction of CO2 impact of dispensing systems to offer each of our customers a personalized solution for their packaging requirements.

Our team of talented designers and engineers works in cooperation with your marketing and packaging specialists, to create for you a high performance packaging system that’s line with both your product characteristics and your brand identity.

Unique Italian eco-design and high technical quality are the ingredients that TAPLAST offers in the form of value for money, sustainable dispensing solutions.

    MAKES THE DIFFERENCE
  • IDENTITY

TAPLAST is influenced by and capitalises on and the rich stimulus provided by the socio-economic context in which it has developed and all its cultural, conceptual and technical symbols: from the artistic and artisan patrimony of the Ventian culture to the vibrancy of the commercial, cultural and ethnical exchanged between Eastern and Western civilizations, all of which still today animate the local economy ; the region of Palladio’s villas, where history is preserved and valued yet sits comfortably side-by-side with a high-tech, contemporary lifestyle and companies at the cutting-edge of technology; for years a leading district for injection moulding technology, the Veneto is a pool of manufacturing know-how with access to highly qualified resources.

    Team.
Business creativity is not spontaneous; it is the management of methods and talents.

At Taplast we recognise and promote the value of human capital – the skills and technical knowledge embodied in people - aware that the performance offered to the client is the sum of the contribution of single individuals.

In an informal, dynamic environment that promotes proactivity our committed young team of professionals (with an average age of 35) is a summed with a modular network of external collaborators based both in Italy and abroad. Our team work in a results orientated context but one that leaves ample space for creativity.

With an organisational architecture coherent with our strategic aims : a flat structure with few hierarchical levels (just three from a line operator to the Managing Director) and transversal players with a wide range of cross-functional competences to promote effective coordination of cross functional activities, rapid communication, decision making and problem solving.

  • IDENTITY

    identity IT technology
Taplast uses web based communication technologies and an advanced integrated reporting system to support reliable decision making and to create a virtual community with common aims in which the exchange of opinions, problem analysis, the research for new solutions and the execution of project briefs can take place rapidly and which promotes lateral thinking.

Made up of a dedicated team of young professional designers and engineers who manage an extended network - a virtual global team with collaboration from packaging designers, machinery and equipment manufacturers, to materials manufacturers, universities, research laboratories and patent advisors. The use of virtual networks provides TAPLAST with a vast and rapid information flow and permits a low-cost and flexible structure. The difference is not only in the presence of different cultural inputs and the different competences that come together, but also in the method of research and analysis employed: innovation is often born from the cross-fertilization of concepts, forms, and processes, by taking these from one context and reapplying them in a new environment or in a new combination. In Brain at Work we have created an open arena in which our customers can experiment creativity and innovation.

  • CREATIVITY

creativitycreativityFor Taplast innovation means finding the right packaging solution to meets both our clients and end-their consumer’s needs in the most efficient and effective way. This involves bringing change in form and function and performance, the application of new technological evolutions, the diversification of methods and/or a combination of all of these depending on the project.

Taplast creativity centres around design for purpose. Design that’s not limited to packaging that’s just ‘visually’ different but to dispensing systems designed to differ in concrete terms : that means be being more sustainable, better performing, offering cost savings and more.

Sustainable packaging and the application of disruptive innovation (that is the development of cheaper and simpler versions of existing products and technologies) provides the stimulus that fuels new innovation and this in turn becomes internal know-how and added-value for our clients.

  • ECO-DESIGN

Consumers are increasingly becoming aware of their Carbon Footprint that is to say, their impact on the environment via carbon emissions produced as a result of their everyday activities and choices.
In Internet various tools are freely available to help consumers calculate their carbon footprint and suggesting ways to reduce it.

Segments of the population are actively seeking to reduce their impact where they can and the number of these consumers is growing. These consumers are actively evaluating the packaging they find on the shelves and making informed choices about it.

    Promotes sustainable innovation
Taplast has for the last ten years put Eco-design is at the top of its agenda and at the heart of its design philosophy and recently has pioneered the development of a reliable, objective model to evaluate the carbon footprint of dispensing systems.

In collaboration with Milan Polytechnic, known for its excellence in technological field, Taplast has developed the first model for the calculation of CO2 emissions generated by the lifecycle of dispensing systems.
The calculation of CO2 impact is now a fundamental requirement in the criteria applied to in design of all our products.

    Aspects of eco-design
Eco design has implications for choices at all stages of the design process. Taplast’s approach combines :

    Design for the environment
We researches and selects low co2 impact or biodegradable materials.

    Design for savings
Whether you are looking for a new development or a redesign of an existing package to reduce cost we apply our exclusive know-how to optimise shapes, profiles and thicknesses to minimise materials usage and cycle times and to provide maximum product performance and environmental performance at minimum cost.

  • ECO-DESIGN

    Design for manufacturing
We evaluates of different technologies, both existing and newly emerging technologies in search of improvements in productivity with focus on reduction of environmental impact and cost.

    Design for purpose
Your package has well-defined communication and performance aims. In line with your requirements and brand identity we apply our specialized know-how to offer you packaging solutions that maximize performance in terms of aesthetics, ergonomics, performance in line with overall communication aims.

    Commercial benefits of eco-design
Taplast’s products show how you can combine the very best in design together with ecological compatibility and cost savings: innovative dispensing systems, with minimum materials usage, maximum performance with high functionality and ergonomics, are all features that offer opportunities for diversification and marketing. Taplast’s solutions contribute all these plus they communicate an eco-conscious positioning of your packaging and brands.
Every standard or personalized solution we develop for our clients is also firmly focused on savings. 5’R operations are an integral part of TAPLAST’S development philosophy:
    • Re-design products and performance
    • Re-duce energy and materials
    • Re-place materials with low CO2 emissions substitutes
    • Re-cycle materials wherever possible
    • Re-use products

The benefits of this know how are shared with our customers in the form of value for money, valued-added sustainable dispensing solutions.

    Creates new know-how
The result of the Taplast research into Carbon Footprint calculation also provides insights as to where and how innovation can be best applied to achieve an even greater impact on reduction if CO2 emissions, where the production of dispensing systems is concerned.
This funnels innovation and, in carbon footprint terms, means we are able to quickly identify the best ratio between performance and GHG emissions (greenhouse gas emissions) considering all the products lifecycle, to find you the optimum dispensing solution with both these parameters in mind.
